EP-140-2 is a double strand DHA roller-chain configuration built around a 44.450 mm pitch envelope. It is aimed at abrasive industrial duty where dust, fines or degraded lubrication make joint wear a practical design concern.
DHA wear-control concept
DHA chain engineering concentrates on the pin-and-bush sliding joint, where contaminated lubricant, fine mineral particles and poor lubrication access can accelerate elongation. The dimensional envelope follows the selected roller-chain size; the surface-treatment specification is confirmed against load, speed, temperature, contamination and lubrication practice.
Chromium-carbide diffusion treatment is an established industry approach for creating a very hard pin surface. It is materially different from decorative chromium plating. Final treatment details are confirmed with the application rather than inferred from appearance alone.
